Attack of the Clones

"Attack of the Clones" is an abstract circular construction comprised 28 near-but-not-quite identical triplets and one central keystone piece. Both the keystone and the puzzle as a whole display pseudo 3-fold rotational symmetry, As such two pieces may appear to connect at first glance (and some may in fact exhibit a false fit) but there is only a single proper solution.

This puzzle was produced from 6mm baltic birch plywood. Individual pieces were painted on both sides in one of five shades of green and splatter accented in the remaining four shades. When properly assembled no piece borders another piece of the same background color.

I've employed an appropriately alien expressionist cut style on this puzzle. The completed work measures 8 inches in diameter and is comprised of 85 pieces.

As a limited edition of 1/1, this image will never be recycled by the workshops of Turning Taxis Plywood Puzzles.
